The HOA has been waiting on the Town of Fishers to update their tree list. This list will provide us with several different options on tree replacements. The HOA is looking to choose several trees from this list to provide owners for replacement. Once this list is completed we will work with the vendors on replacement cost and group discounts. The HOA plans on replacements to be started in the fall of 2015.
We have recently been notified of an issue with the Red Maple trees that was approved for planting. There is a bug that is now attacking Red maples, as well as several other types of trees. We are researching this bug as we speak and also working to find another option for a curb tree.
We have contacted Davey Tree and advised them not to order the Red Maples that have been ordered from residents. We are working with Davey and a few different landscapers to find other options.
At this time we ask that you do not plant with the red sunset maples. We will be reviewing trees to determine what will be a better replacement.
If you still have a dead or dying ash tree you will need to have the tree removed. If the tree is not removed by December 1st, the HOA will be removing these trees and adding the expense and admin fees onto your HOA account.

We have heard from several residents that JT Tree Removal is also in the neighborhood doing tree removals and stump grindings. We have heard that they are about $50.00 to 75.00 cheaper then Davey Tree.
If you have trees that need to be removed please contact Joel with JT Tree Removal at (317)674-2150.
We have noticed several violations and have been sending letters to neighbors on a regular basis. If violations are not taken care of in a certain time frame we will forward them to the HOA attorney to take neccessary actions. The HOA is prepared to ensure property values by pursing neighbors for not following the Covenants and Restrictions for Sandstone HOA.

This Spring and Summer the HOA worked with Davey Tree to offer a program for the residents of Sandstone HOA. We are in the process of reviewing how many neighbors are taking advantage of this program at this time...
